Aug 1, 2022 – (Dresden, Ont.) – Ontario Sire Stakes Two-Year-Old Trotting Fillies clashed in Grassroots action at Dresden Raceway and did not disappoint.
The first dash of freshmen fillies saw Sister Twister take the lead at the half and never look back for the win in 2:06.1 with a last quarter kick of 29.3 for driver Donnie Rankin Jr.
The Prestidigitator filly is owned by Jamie Copely, Mike Larkin and Francois Desaulniers while Shayne Barrington is the conditioner.
Sweet Carrie T and Mark Etsell finished second while Over Yonder and Tyler Borth paid the show price.
Cunning Connie won the second OSS race for driver Travis Henry in 2:04.2.
The Muscle Mass filly went right to the front and stayed flat as 2-1 shot Lucy Who drew alongside at the half and then broke stride.
Cunning Connie is owned by Thestable Cunning Connie and trained by Dominic Gladu.
