The enrollment deadline for the 2022 Ontario Resident Mare Program is September 1.

You must enroll a mare either via mail or electronically by this date for the 2022 foal to be eligible for the $2.6 million in Ontario Bred Rewards.

The fee is $300 after the mare has foaled.

Electronic submissions must be sent on or before September 1, 2022. Mailed submissions must be postmarked no later than September 1, 2022.  Enrolment are not accepted after this date.

REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible as an ONTARIO RESIDENT MARE, a broodmare must be:

  • Located within the boundaries of the Province of Ontario at the time of enrolment, AND
  • Must remain resident in the Province of Ontario for a minimum of 180 consecutive days surrounding foaling (in Ontario).
  • If you are enrolling after foaling, third party proof of residency must be submitted

To enroll a mare, the mare must be in Ontario, and mare owners (or lessees) and their agents must hold a valid AGCO license.
