Monday, Oct. 15-The Ontario Sires Stakes unveiled its new state-of-the art web site today.

Located at” www.ontariosiresstakes.com” the web site contains a wealth of information on the OSS program and features up to the minute entries and results of OSS races as well as current point standings for the program’s Gold, Grassroots and Trillium Series.

Statistics on OSS personalities– both human and equine–are easily accessible by simply clicking on their names.

News releases, racing schedules, a comprehensive stallion directory, nomination forms and information on Ontario’s harness racing tracks which host OSS events are also a part of this information-rich web site.

“One of our main goals in developing the web site was not only to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information possible, but to present it in a very user-friendly format,” said Ontario Horse Racing Industry Association (OHRIA) Executive Director Jane Holmes. “We feel that has been accomplished.

“This is an endeavor worthy of the stature of the Ontario Sires Stakes program, which is widely acknowledged far and wide as the best in the world.”

The launch of the web site comes just in advance of the most prestigious events on the OSS racing schedule.

The Grassroots Championships, featuring a $100,000 purse for each of the eight OSS divisions, will be held at Sarnia’s Hiawatha Horse Park and Windsor Raceway on Nov. 1 and Nov. 3 respectively.

The 2001 OSS season culminates with the $2 million Super Final Night at Mohawk Racetrack on Nov. 10. Starters for Super Final Night are determined by points earned during Gold Series racing action throughout the year.
