DUNDAS, ON — Alastor Hanover captured his fourth straight victory with a 1:55.1 Gold Elimination triumph at Flamboro Downs on Saturday evening.
The Rustler Hanover son and Mario Baillargeon seized control of the race heading past the quarter pole and simply ran off on the field of two-year-old pacing colts, hitting the wire seven and three-quarter lengths ahead of Minus Twenty and Hunter Hylight.
Trained by Mark Ford for Vicki Fair of Bedford, PA, the win was the precocious colt’s fifth of the season and his fourth straight. Since making a break in the June 28 season opening Gold Elimination at Kawartha Downs Alastor Hanover has been flawless, coming back the following week to post a 1:55.2 victory in an overnight event at Mohawk Racetrack and then sweeping through the second Gold Series at Mohawk by winning margins of three and four lengths.
