MILTON, October 19, 2022 – The Breeders Crown, harness racing’s season ending championships are returning to Woodbine Mohawk, with $6.7 USD in purse money across 12 divisions on October 28 and 29.

The action gets underway this weekend with eliminations on October 21 and 22 for eight of the 12 divisions. 17 Ontario Sired competitors have drawn in.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21 – TWO-YEAR-OLD ELIMNATIONS

Star two-year-old pacing filly Righteous Resolve (Resolve) earned a bye to the finals via an earnings exemption, so she is bypassing her elimination. The rest of the Ontario Sired freshman contingent is below.

This division has 20 horses competing across two eliminations, and three Ontario Sired entrants.

Post 2: SOUNDS GOOD (Bettors Delight)

The Bettors Delight gelding won the 2022 Battle of Waterloo and was third in last week’s OSS Gold Super Final. This is his first career faces open stakes start.

Post 2: WRITE ME A ROSE (Sportswriter)

The Sportswriter colt has over $160,000 in earnings this season, and a pair of OSS Gold wins. He will look to regain the form that earned him a third-place finish in the NASSAGAWEYA on August 27.

The 2021 Metro Pace champion, and OSS Super Final winner suffered his only loss of the season in his Metro Pace elimination, where he was third. He’s made over $850,000 in his freshman campaign.
