TORONTO, ON — Six eligible two-year-old colt pacers were entered this morning (Thursday) for the OSS Gold Elimination scheduled to be contested on Monday, October 3rd at Woodbine Racetrack.
The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the Final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the Final to be held the following week.
Therefore, the Gold Elimination for two-year-old colt pacers scheduled for October 3rd at Woodbine Racetrack is cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold Elimination will be added to the regular purse for the Final, making a total Gold Final purse for this event of $170,000.
The Gold Final will be held on Monday, October 10 as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Monday, October 3, when the Final would normally have been drawn.
According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the six horses that entered the event.
