Dream For Peace posted the first Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) victory of his career, winning the lone $150,000 OSS Gold Leg 4 event for sophomore trotting colts on Wednesday (Aug. 12) at Grand River Raceway in a career-best 1:54.2.
Sent off at 17-1 in the field of six, Mark MacDonald settled Dream For Peace along the rail in fourth through the early going as second choice Touchedbyanangel (Doug McNair) led the group to the :27.1 opening quarter. Going past the grandstand the first time, James MacDonald pulled two-time 2026 Gold winner Strobe Lite, the race favourite, from third and marched to the front while other movers from the back also trotted forward, shuffling Dream For Peace to last. The half was :55.4.
Up the backstretch, Touchedbyanangel went offstride in the pocket and Stormont Shanlyboy (Tyler Jones) took over. That’s when Mark MacDonald put Dream For Peace in gear. The pair had to go three wide in the final turn, but coming off that turn Strobe Lite made a break as he tried to shoot up the inside and Dream For Peace trotted on past, coming home in :28 to defeat The Green Gazoo (Tyler Borth) by 2 ¼ lengths. Toss Of The Dice (Trevor Henry) was third. Stormont Shanlyboy faded to fourth, followed by Touchedbyanangel.
Strobe Lite, the 2025 O’Brien Award winner as Canada’s 2-year-old Trotting Colt of the Year in 2025, was last.
Dream For Pace paid $36.20.
Dream For Peace, a homebred son of Muscle Mass out of Dream For Lindy, improved to 3-1-2 in 13 starts this year and 4-1-3 in 18 career outings for Hudson Standardbred Stb Inc. and Bridle Path Stables Ltd. The colt, trained by Shawn Steacy, has earned $191,886 this year and $213,286 lifetime.

- Sumluckylady (Muscle Mass–Superlative) broke her maiden with a 1:57.3 victory for breeders Brilo Farms, Walker Racing Stable, and A J Cachia Sales, owners Bax Stable and Brilo Farms, trainer Joe Parkinson and driver Mark MacDonald.
- Green Silverado (Green Manalishi S–Little Red Chev) remained perfect through four lifetime starts with a 1:56.4 victory for breeders Dennis Morrissey and David Peden, owners Matthew and Roy Trelford, trainer Matthew Trelford and driver James MacDonald. Green Silverado was purchased for $22,000 at the 2025 London Classic Yearling Sale.
- Tymal Eclipse (Green Manalishi S–Electrapedia) remained perfect through two career starts with a 1:56.4 victory for breeders Tymal Farms, owners Ottawavalleyracingstable5, trainer Bob Young and driver Scott Young. Tymal Eclipse was a $37,000 purchase at the 2025 London Classic Yearling Sale.
